NaNoWriMo Write In!
Join Oldham Libraries as we embark on our first ever NaNoWriMo Write-in! Join us for fun evening sessions this NaNoWriMo with like minded individuals looking to write that novel. It doesn't have to be perfect, it doesn't have to be the greatest work of fiction, the main thing is that you have fun with others!
We will be holding write-ins at Oldham Library on Thursdays in November, 6pm - 8pm.
We will begin on 2nd November with a 'Start-Up' meeting where anyone can ask questions about NaNoWriMo, what's possible, writing, planning, plotting... anything! We will then continue to meet throughout Nov on Thursday evenings, and possibly after NaNoWriMo (if there is interest!).
So come on down and join in the literary fun, all backgrounds and skill levels are welcome but places are limited. We'd love to see you there!
This year's write-in will be led by Jacqueline Ward, a brilliant local author and NaNo enthusiast! We are also a centre this year, so get chatting on the forum.
Jacqui has been writing for many years but says "NaNoWriMo has given me the opportunity to set writing goals and really hike up the word count on the first draft. My novel Perfect Ten was partially written during NaNoWriMo 2016 and this year I'm going to be working on an 'up-lit' novel first draft".
